Africa ELI

Africa ELI (Education & Leadership Initiative) is a registered non-governmental youth led organization in Uganda that is simultaneously providing lifelong education opportunities, leadership, and psycho-social well-being to local vulnerable youth and  refugee youth in Uganda, especially females.

Over 12 years, Africa ELI has Distributed over 3,000 academic scholarships which pay for tuition and necessary supplies, provided life-skills training programs to over 5,000 young people, established official partnerships with dozens of schools, provided training to 500 teachers and student leaders, provided over $50,000 in special assistance directly to schools and has provided wellbeing training to 150 students, teachers and mentor. They have accelerated literacy for 1500 children in underserved communities in Uganda.

Through education, both Ugandan youth and refugee students, especially females, are equipped to be leaders who create healthier families, sustainable livelihoods, and constructive social interaction. Such leaders will evolve a peaceful, civil society offering equal opportunities for all its citizens.
