Utopia Foundation believes in the power of art to heal and unite individuals and communities. Practicing art—whether that is music, dance, fine arts, spoken word, creating writing, or poetry—is integral to creating educated and peace-building citizens.
The Utopia Foundation is committed to creating sustainable change through domestic and international microloan and microenterprise programs. Microcredit provides small loans to individuals that may not qualify for funding through conventional banking systems. This financial resource allows an individual to begin, or build to the capacity of, a microenterprise, helping them achieve economic sustainability and independence. Micro-loan and micro-enterprise ventures are significant in scope and have lasting effects on the individuals and their communities at large.
Utopia Foundation is pleased to partner with TED, a non-profit that runs conferences based on the concept of Ideas Worth Sharing. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
