

An ongoing scholar at the School of Life, Gevas was bred and born in Africa. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Zimbabwe in 1992 and taught at Prince Edward School in Zimbabwe from 1993 to 1994. Migrating to the United States in 2001, he obtained his MBA in Strategic Management from Davenport University in 2005. He firmly believes that if we knew just a little bit more about each other’s cultures, this world would be a much better place! A volunteer DJ at WNMC, the radio station of Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) since 2001, he enjoys world music as his show attests. Since delivering the Commencement speech for NMC in 2002, he has been a sought-after speaker by various groups and organizations in Grand Traverse county.
His professional work has covered various industries and spans three continents. Currently he works as an Account Manager for UPS. Married to Flo, they have three young angels, Chido, Chiedza and Tafadzwa, and live in Traverse City.
